These terms apply to your use of the Durma apps (iPhone, Apple Watch, Android and Wear OS) and the durma.app website. By using Durma you agree to them. How we handle your data is explained in the privacy policy.

Health notice

Durma is a walking and training app. It is not a medical device and does not give medical advice.

  • Energy (calorie) estimates, intensity zones, VO2 max estimates and 6-minute walk test reference values are approximations and must not be used for diagnosis or treatment.
  • Talk to your doctor before starting a new kind of exercise, especially if you have a heart, lung, joint or metabolic condition or take medication.
  • Only do the walking tests after answering the app’s health questions honestly, and only when you feel well.
  • Stop at once if you get chest pain, severe breathlessness, dizziness or start to stagger, and seek medical help if needed.
  • Stay aware of your surroundings, traffic and the weather while you walk. Use voice and haptic cues instead of looking at the screen.

Your account

You can use Durma without an account. If you create one, you are responsible for keeping your sign-in and devices secure. You must be at least 13 to create an account. You can delete your account at any time from inside the app; see delete your account.

Acceptable use

When using Durma, don’t:

  • use display names or challenge names that are misleading, offensive or infringe other people’s rights,
  • try to inflate challenge results artificially,
  • try to access the service without authorisation, overload it or disrupt it,
  • use the app for anything unlawful.

We may suspend or close accounts that break these rules.

Your data

Your walks and other data belong to you. You give us permission to process them only to provide the service to you, for example syncing and challenge standings. You can export and delete your data at any time.

Fees

Nothing in the first release of Durma is behind a paywall, and there are no ads in the app. If we add paid features later, the price and terms will be shown clearly before you buy, and payments will go through the App Store or Google Play under that store’s rules.

Changes to the service

We keep improving Durma, so features may be added, changed or removed. Before removing a feature we will try to give reasonable notice and make sure you can export your data.

Liability

Durma is provided “as is”. The accuracy of measurements such as steps, distance, heart rate and location depends on your device’s sensors and conditions. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect damages arising from your use of Durma. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer protection law.

Changes to these terms

When we update these terms, we change the date on this page. We will also announce significant changes in the app.
